dataslice’s Build a Data Science Portfolio (Free & Easy) with Jekyll & GitHub Pages 3 part video series was my inspiration. I used GitHub Pages before but the templates offered did not have the clean blog look I wanted. Below I will link to all videos in the series and the references I used to create this blog.
